Is it possible that Hashimoto has come to a “standstill” after an initial active period? I’ve been disgnosed around 20 years ago and the size of my thyroid has not changed. All I did, was to start Thyroid hormones, the dosage had to be adjusted now and then, but basically I have no symptoms anymore.

Every single interview is informative but this one has peaked my interest the most. I hear about people with thyroid issues but I had zero knowledge. Dr. Gupta, you are a great voice in this field. Thank you for your presentation in giving us tools to move forward.

Hi Theresa,

thank you for your question.

As far my very limited perspective goes from the conversation with Dr. Gupta, I understand that it can stabilize very well with a combination of long term Thyroid hormone therapy, which you are on, and low inflammatory diet. As far as I understand, small dosage adjustments are normal. Please always consult with your healthcare practitioner. It seems to be working very well what you are doing. Very happy for you! The book of Dr. Gupta might be interesting for you: https://mybook.to/reversinghashimotos

Thank you for sharing!

How does this apply to euthyroid due to thyroid cancer and total thyroidectomy and lymph node removal?

Hello Gail,

Thank you for your message and for sharing your situation. As we just discovered thyroid issues related to reflux in the talk with Dr. Gupta, we are not in the competent capacity to answer in a responsible manner. This is a very specific case, and we feel it might be the best if you reach out to Dr. Gupta directly. He is the best equipped to look at your case in detail and offer the right support. Thank you for your understanding!
